Sr. Amena Jamila

Asalamu ‘Alaikum! 

I moved from Mississippi to Louisville with my husband in April 2023. I graduated from Millsaps College in May 2020 with a double major in Sociology and Anthropology, and a minor in Psychology. I graduated with my Master’s in April 2022 in Social Work. I worked at Brentwood Behavioral Healthcare as a Social Worker and Therapist for a year. I also volunteered as an Islamic Studies teacher for a year at my Sunday School in Mississippi. 

I love kids and I am very passionate about mental health and the overall well-being of others. I am very excited to be working with the students and working hard to make a positive impact on their lives, InshaAllah.

Things I love are Islam, my big family, traveling, art, and food!
