Our structured religious curriculum is designed to nurture engaged citizenship and Muslim identity in each student that will guide them through their lifetime. ISL students are taught that religion is a healthy part of their education and life by developing a love of God and who they are as Muslims.
ISL mornings begin with a morning sura recitation, supplication (duwa) and an engaging student presentations of a weekly hadith theme.
Students also perform the daily afternoon (dhur) prayer.
Our Quran, Arabic, and Islamic studies classes allow students to learn selected verses of the Quran, Hadeeth, the story of the prophet Muhammed (PBUH), stories of other prophets, the pillars of Islam, and Islamic knowledge.
Students participate in sadaqa, community service, Ramadan canned food drives, Winter Clothing drives, Eid gift exchanges, and performing in our annual Hajj program.
